What is Medicare and what does it cover?
Medicare is the federal health program for people 65 years or older or with certain qualifying disabilities. It includes Part A (hospitalization), Part B (outpatient medical services), Part C (Medicare Advantage plans offered by private carriers), and Part D (prescription drugs). Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans can also help cover out-of-pocket costs. A licensed US Enrollment Center agent reviews available options at no cost to you.
What is Obamacare (ACA Marketplace) and who qualifies?
Obamacare refers to health insurance plans offered through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplace. Plans cover essential benefits like doctor visits, hospitalization, prescription drugs, preventive care and mental health. They cannot deny coverage for pre-existing conditions. Eligible U.S. residents may qualify for premium tax credits and cost-sharing reductions based on household income. Open Enrollment runs annually, and a qualifying life event can open a Special Enrollment Period. A licensed US Enrollment Center agent compares Marketplace plans at no cost to you.
What is Life Insurance and how do I choose a plan?
Life Insurance pays a tax-free benefit to the beneficiaries you name if you pass away while the policy is active, helping protect your family from financial hardship. Common options include Term Life (coverage for a fixed period of 10, 20, or 30 years, typically the most affordable) and Permanent Life (whole life or universal life, with lifetime coverage and a potential cash-value component). The right plan depends on your age, health, income, dependents, and goals. A licensed US Enrollment Center agent helps you compare carriers and policy types at no cost.
Can I be denied coverage because of pre-existing conditions?
It depends on the product. Original Medicare (Part A and Part B) and ACA Marketplace (Obamacare) plans cannot deny you coverage or charge more because of pre-existing conditions. Medicare Supplement (Medigap) generally cannot deny you for medical history during your Medigap Open Enrollment Period. Life Insurance, however, uses medical underwriting, so some health conditions may affect rates or eligibility. Many people still qualify and “guaranteed-issue” options exist. Our licensed agents help you identify the right enrollment periods and the products you qualify for.
